Oral Surgical Procedures

1. Extractions

a) Non-Surgical Extraction

Purpose: Remove visible, erupted teeth (typically for decay, infection, or orthodontics).

b) Surgical Extraction

Purpose: Remove impacted, broken, or non-erupted teeth (e.g., wisdom teeth).

 2. Cysts and Granuloma Removal

Purpose: Remove pathological growths in the jaw or gums.

Goal: Prevent spread, preserve healthy tissue and bone.
 3. TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Therapies

Purpose: Treat dysfunction or pain in the jaw joint.

.Goal: Restore function and reduce pain.
 4. Soft Tissue Biopsy

Purpose: Diagnose suspicious growths, ulcers, or pigmented lesions in the mouth.

Common Sites: Gums, tongue, cheeks, palate, lips.
 5. Fracture Repairs (Oral & Maxillofacial Trauma)

Purpose: Stabilize and repair broken facial or jaw bones.
Types of fractures:

Jaw (mandible or maxilla)
Cheekbone (zygomatic)
Orbit (eye socket)
